Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival ornaments are great gifts for family, friends, coworkers and business associates, each year features an iconic downtown landmark cast in pewter.
The 2106 edition features The Wisconsin Club. Founded in 1891, the social club was created by three Milwaukee businessmen to promote and provide a venue for German-American fellowship.
While the first clubhouse was damaged by fire in 1894, the club soon relocated to the mansion previously owned by Alexander Mitchell in 1895. Mitchell’s ostentatious estate made a fine home for the club with its beautiful handcrafted oak, stained glass, grand fireplaces, and intricate tiling and artwork. Even the club’s expansive garden grounds remain superb, with a gazebo that loosely models Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, “The Belvedere.”
